HIDDEN HARRY POTTER | House of MinaLima – London

A hidden gem for any Harry Potter fans spending a day in London! This tiny little shop doesn’t look like much on the outside but on the inside displays hundreds of gorgeous Harry Potter artefacts and prints.

MinaLima is half shop half exhibition which celebrates the graphic design embedded within the Harry Potter movies. The name MinaLima is an amalgamation of Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima – the designers of the incredible graphic world of Harry Potter we know and love today. The ground floor is a lovely little boutique shop selling stationary, books, mugs, badges – you name it they’ve probably got the HP version of it! The 3 floors above comprise a gorgeous FREE HP exhibition showcasing the work of these two incredibly talented graphic designers. Their creations are displayed on every inch of this gorgeous little gallery and almost everything you can see is for sale. The exhibition covers the original HP films as well as the new fantastic beasts movies. There is also a lovely little display cabinet of props that were produced and used in the actual films and some behind the scenes images displayed along the staircase!

I’m not a die hard Harry Potter fan but I grew up waiting for the release of each new film so I loved looking around this hidden gem! The prints and products are stunning and we easily spent a good half an hour admiring everything on display. Rather handily it’s right by the Palace Theatre, home to The Cursed Child. Definitely recommend visiting this little gem next time you’re in London!
